Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle Southern Minnesota Intersection
Update: Charges: Driver was Racing in Crash that Killed Minnesota Pedestrian
Mankato, MN (KROC-AM News)- A 66-year-old man was killed Monday night when he was struck by a sedan while crossing a street in southern Minnesota.

The State Patrol responded to the intersection of Madison Ave & Hope St. which is in an area populated by several stores in the eastern part of Mankato. The vehicle-pedestrian collision was reported shortly after 9:30 p.m.
The state crash report says the pedestrian, identified as Jeffery Allie Ward, was pronounced dead at the scene. The sedan that struck him was traveling east on Madison Ave.
The driver of the sedan is described as an 18-year-old woman from Mankato. Her name has not been released.
