After getting out of his vehicle, Drew was struck by a Tesla Model 3. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fundraiser Established for Drew's Family
The day after the crash, a GoFundMe campaign was set up to help Drew's family. The fundraiser was organized by Lucia Saathoff on behalf of Drew's mother, Michele Fisher, and his family.
The campaign describes Drew as a beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin, godson, and friend who meant a great deal to the people around him.

"To anyone who knew Drew, you know how much his faith, friends, and family meant to him," the fundraiser says.
Family and friends remember Drew as caring, thoughtful, generous and funny, with a reputation for helping others and brightening people's days with his smile.
The fundraiser organizers say donations will go directly to Drew's mother to help cover funeral and memorial expenses while the family grieves.
How You Can Help Drew's Family
The family says any contribution, regardless of size, can help ease some of the financial burden during an incredibly difficult time.
For those who aren't able to donate, organizers are also asking people to share the fundraiser and keep Drew's family in their thoughts.
