Teenage Driver Killed in Crash on Rural SE Minnesota Highway
Coates, Mn (KROC-AM News) - A crash Saturday afternoon on a rural highway in southeastern Minnesota claimed the life of a Farmington teenager.
The State Patrol says 17-year-old Roderigo Dooley was driving east on Highway 46 about 2 miles east of Coates in Dakota County when he slowed down to make a left and a vehicle traveling in the same direction made contact with the back of his car. The collision pushed the car into the westbound lane where it collided with a minivan.
The preliminary crash report indicated the teenager was ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash was reported just before 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The driver of the vehicle that made contact with the rear end of the victim's car was identified as 49-year-old Gina Jermasek. The State Patrol says she was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the minivan, who was identified as 26-year-old Rebecca Lutchen, was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul and also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
She had two passengers. The State Patrol says the infant boy and seven-year-old girl were not injured.
