Guy Fieri Puts TWO Minnesota Pizzas on His National Top 7 List

Pizzeria Lola in Minneapolis is the only place to have two of its pizzas make it onto Guy's top seven list. This pizzeria has also been recognized by Food & Wine and Reader's Digest for having the best pizza in Minnesota.

The story behind Pizzeria Lola: "A Korean immigrant, driven by her passion for food and her mother's amazing cooking, left her corporate job to open a neighborhood wood-fired pizzeria, naming it after her dog, Lola. It just goes to show, sometimes dreams really do come true."

Pizzeria Lola is located at 5557 Xerxes Ave S, in Minneapolis.

Guy's two favorite pizzas from Pizzeria Lola are:

  • My Sha-Roni! This pizza is special because it's baked in a unique copper-covered, wood-fired French pizza oven called a Le Panyol. It features fennel sausage, Wisconsin and mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni over a homemade red sauce.
  • Lady ZaZa is truly unique due to its homemade kimchi (made with Korean chili powder imported by the chef's mother) and homemade Korean sausage, which takes the flavor to the next level.

Guy also made sure to mention Pizzeria Lola's Sunnyside Pizza, saying, "With the pecorino cheese, leeks and heavy cream, what's not to love?"

Many Minnesota restaurants have been featured on the Food Network over the years. Some have closed now, but I checked out the Food Networks website, the Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives website, and TVFoodMaps.com to find all of the Minnesota restaurants that have been featured on their channel in the past and found these 37 (in no particular order) that are still open.
