Rollingstone, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Lake City Motorcyclist was brought to the emergency room after striking a deer in Winona County Friday afternoon.

The State Patrol responded to the collision along Hwy. 248 near Rollingstone. It was reported shortly before 2 p.m.

The state crash report identifies the motorcycle operator as 69-year-old Larry Joel Swenson. He was taken to a hospital in Winona with what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The motorcycle-deer collision happened in the westbound lane of the two-lane highway. The crash report indicates Swenson was wearing a helmet. 

The Winona County Sheriff’s Office, Winona Area Ambulance and Rollingstone First Responders assisted the State Patrol at the crash scene.
