La Crescent, MN (KROC-AM News)- A two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Houston County sent two people to the hospital Sunday night.

The crash happened at the intersection of Hwy. 16 and Hwy. 26, which is just south of La Crescent. The State Patrol responded to the crash shortly before 7:30 p.m. 


The state crash report indicates an SUV traveling west and an eastbound two-seat motorcycle collided at the intersection of the two roads. The operator of the motorcycle, identified as 64-year-old Robert John Mach of La Crescent, and the rider, identified as 64-year-old Mary Erickson Mach of La Crescent, were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries.

25-year-old Maor Leker Locker of Rochester was driving the SUV and was not hurt by the collision. Alcohol was not involved in the crash and the occupants of the motorcycle were not wearing helmets, according to the report.

 The Houston County Sheriff’s Office, La Crescent Fire Department and Gundersen Ambulance also responded to the collision.
