MN Motorcyclist Fighting for His Life After Wabasha County Crash
Zumbro Falls, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Hastings motorcyclist is fighting for his life after crashing in Wabasha County Saturday afternoon.
The State Patrol received the report of the crash shortly after 1:45 p.m. It happened along a curvy stretch of highway in Gilford Township, which is east of Zumbro Falls.
The state crash report indicates the motorcycle had lost control on Hwy. 60 and entered the ditch. Its direction of travel was not listed in the report.
The operator is identified as 43-year-old Douglas James Gustafson of Hastings. He was taken from the crash scene to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester with what are being described as life-threatening injuries.
The report indicates Gustafson was wearing a helmet and that alcohol was not involved in the severe-injury crash. The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office and Zumbro Falls Fire Department also responded to the crash.
