'Guy' — A Grumpy Old Man's Drama

On the other end of the spectrum, we’ve got ‘Guy.’ This short drama centers on a stubborn old man who thought he wanted solitude but quickly realizes that loneliness isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. The catch? He only seeks connection from people who won’t push his buttons.

Filming in Minneapolis between November 1 through 20, 2024, the open role is for the male lead of Guy himself. It pays up to $200 for about 8 hours of work. If you’ve got a knack for portraying complex, layered characters, this is your chance to dig into a deep role. Director Michael Wellvang describes the role as follows:

Guy does what he wants. If a girlfriend is too demanding, he dumps her. If a boss gives him lip, he quits. When the power company charges too much, he doesn't pay. In short, he lives life on his own terms—even if it means being alone. Long since rejected by his peers, Guy's socializing solely consists of pontificating to hapless youths.”
