Man and Woman Brought to Hospitals After Semi Truck Rolls Over Near Zumbrota

Zumbrota, MN (KROC-AM News)- Two people were injured in a semi truck rollover crash on a southeast Minnesota highway early Wednesday morning.

The State Patrol responded to the crash scene shortly before 1 a.m.

Both occupants of the semi, which was the only vehicle involved, were brought to hospitals.

Semi Rolls on Hwy. 60 Between Zumbrota & Wanamingo, Driver and Passenger Injured

The rollover crash occurred on Hwy. 60 between Zumbrota and Wanamingo. 

The state crash report says the semi was traveling west when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll.

40-year-old Jonathon Lee Rodriguez of Willmar was driving the semi. 34-year-old Ashley Mae Nelson of Shakopee was riding with him, according to the State Patrol. 

Occupants Brought to Hospitals

Both occupants suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Rodriguez was brought to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester and Nelson was taken to the Mayo Clinic facility in Cannon Falls for further care, the State Patrol says. 

Rodriguez was wearing his seatbelt and Nelson was not buckled up. The state crash report also indicates alcohol was not involved in the crash.

The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office, Zumbrota Ambulance, Cannon Falls Ambulance and Wanamingo Fire also responded to the rollover crash.
