Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Stewartville man today entered guilty pleas to two child pornography-related offenses.

50-year-old Brett James Maronde admitted to one count of possession of child pornography and a charge of possessing pornographic work. Both charges are felonies.

He was charged in September following an investigation by the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office. The criminal complaint says it began with a cyber tip concerning suspected child sexual abuse material being uploaded to a Microsoft Being account linked to an IP address registered to a device in Stewartville.

The court document says investigators executed a search warrant in July and found approximately 250 images of suspected child abuse material on a laptop and an iPhone at Maronde’s residence. They also found links to a photo-sharing cloud storage site based in Russia known for hosting child pornography, along with images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children in the laptop recycling bin that had been accessed in March and July of this year.
