Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Captain Tim Parkin says deputies responded to the initial threat, which was targeted towards a business around 1:45 p.m.

The shooting happened on the morning of December 12 as the Stewartville High School Wrestling team was loading a bus for a trip to Grand Forks, ND for a wrestling match.

Both vehicles were northbound on Highway 63 when the crash occurred.

The Tiger wrestler was shot on the morning of December 12 while walking towards a bus that was set to take him and his teammates to an invitational event in Grand Forks, ND.

Authorities said the victim, described as a juvenile male, was shot while walking to a bus that was set to transport the Stewartville wrestling team to a meet in Grand Forks.

A news release issued by the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the scene of the shooting around 5 a.m.

The sheriff’s office announced the incident around 7:30 Friday morning.

The court document, filed earlier this month in Olmsted County Court, says she worked at the school.

The State Patrol responded to the crash shortly before 3:30 p.m.

The 7 week old infant suffered a broken leg.
