31-Year-Old Man Dead After Multiple Motorcycles Crash Along Minnesota’s North Shore

Two Harbors, MN (MinnesotaNow)- A crash involving multiple motorcycles on Minnesota’s North Shore resulted in the death of a 31-year-old man.

The State Patrol also indicates a vehicle was involved in the collision. First responders were called to the crash shortly before 12:30 Saturday afternoon.

One Motorcyclist Killed, Multiple Injured After Crash Involving Vehicle on North Side of Silver Creek Cliff Tunnel Near Two Harbors

The fatality occurred on the northern side of the Silver Creek Cliff Tunnel, which is about 32 miles northeast of Duluth. 

Multiple northbound motorcycles crashed, causing some of the motorcycles to enter the southbound lane and collided with a car traveling south on Hwy. 61, according to the State Patrol.

The state crash report says multiple motorcyclists were injured, but only lists the motorcyclist who died in the crash.

Deceased Motorcyclist Identified

Alexander Wayne Otis of Bruno, MN was identified as the deceased motorcyclist. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the State Patrol says. 

72-year-old Kristin Ingeborg Faruq of Minneapolis was identified as the driver of the car and a woman identified as 81-year-old Leah Huseby-Frieger of Minneapolis was riding with her.

The State Patrol says none of the car occupants were injured.

Alcohol was not involved in the deadly crash. The state crash report also says it’s not known whether or not Otis was wearing a helmet.
