New Details Emerge in Head-on Crash That Killed Rochester Teen in Dakota County Friday
Hampton, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities have released more information regarding the deadly crash that claimed the life of a Rochester teen woman.
The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fatal incident around 7 p.m. Friday in Vermillion Township, which is about 13 miles south of Rosemount.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the fatal crash victim as 18-year-old Ruweyda Fows Said of Rochester.
On Tuesday Dakota County Sheriff Joe Leko said three vehicles were involved in a head-on crash on Northfield Blvd about a quarter-mile south of 210th St. Said was driving one of the vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two people riding with Said were transported by ambulance from the scene for treatment of what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries.
The person driving the second vehicle was also transported from the deadly crash scene while the occupants of the third vehicle were treated for minor injuries.
No other names of the individuals involved in the fatal head-on collision have been released. The State Patrol and Dakota County Sheriff’s Office are continuing to investigate the deadly crash.
