Albert Lea, MN (KROC-AM News)- A man and woman from Austin were brought to a hospital following a crash on Interstate 90 in southern Minnesota

That’s according to the State Patrol, which responded to the crash shortly before 5:45 Monday morning.

Two vehicles were involved in the Freeborn County collision.

Car-SUV Collision on I-90 in Albert Lea Sends Man and Woman from Austin to the Hospital

The crash occurred at the I-90 interchange with Bridge St. in northern Albert LeaA car and SUV, that were both heading west, collided, the state crash report says.

51-year-old Jerome Papay Gibson was identified as the SUV driver and 28-year-old Martina Hams was riding with him.

The Austin residents were brought to the Mayo Clinic hospital in Albert Lea with non-life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol says. 

Car Driver Avoids Injury

38-year-old Joshua Van Hassebrock of Alden, IA was identified as the car driver. The State Patrol says he was not hurt. 

Alcohol was not involved and its unknown if Gibson and Hams were buckled up, according to the state crash report

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Albert Lea Fire Department, Clarks Grove Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the two-vehicle collision.
