West Concord, MN (KROC-AM News)- A young Dodge County man was brought to a hospital following a southeast Minnesota crash.

The State Patrol responded to the scene shortly before 7:00 Saturday evening. Two people riding in the same vehicle were involved.

The crash occurred on Hwy. 56 about two miles south of West Concord.

20-Year-Old Kasson Man Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash on Hwy. 56 Near West Concord

A southbound car crossed the center line into the northbound lane, left the roadway, hit a sign then rolled into the ditch, the state crash report says. 

21-year-old Ismael Viesca Ramirez of Kasson was identified as the driver. He was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the state crash report says.

20-year-old Yahaira Mercado was riding with him. The young woman from West Concord was not hurt, according to the State Patrol. 

Both Ramirez and Mercado were buckled up and alcohol was not involved in the crash, the state crash report indicates. 

West Concord Fire and Ambulance, Dodge Center Ambulance, the West Concord Police Department and the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the single-vehicle crash.
