Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester police continue to investigate an apparent drug overdose involving a student at a Rochester high school earlier this week.

It was earlier reported that Rochester Police and other emergency personnel responded to a medical emergency at Century High School around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The Police Department is now indicating the incident has been officially labeled a "drugs/narcotics call for service" and is part of an open investigation.

Law enforcement radio transmissions at that time indicated that emergency responders were sent to a new restroom at a high school due to a possible overdose. It was also reported that a 16-year-old student had ingested an unknown substance and was given Narcan before being transported to St. Mary's Hospital.

Information about the student's medical condition is not available.
