Eden Prairie, MN (MinnesotaNow)-- A scary situation unfolded in Eden Prairie Thursday night after a hit-and-run at the intersection of Mitchell Road and Chestnut Drive.

Eden Prairie Hit-and-Run Leaves Child Critically Hurt

According to Eden Prairie Police, it happened around 8:20 pm when a woman was crossing Mitchell Road in the crosswalk with four young children. Two of the kids were riding in a wagon she was pulling.

Police Say White Sedan Fled the Scene

A white sedan heading north on Mitchell Road hit the woman and the two kids in the wagon, then took off without stopping.

Police say the woman and one of the children suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but another child was critically hurt. All three were taken to Hennepin Healthcare.

The driver has not yet been found. Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen the crash or who has information about the white sedan to call 911.

No other details have been released at this time.
