1 Killed, 1 Injured in Fiery Crash at Minnesota Intersection
Plymouth, MN (KROC-AM News)- A fiery, three-vehicle crash at an intersection in the Twin Cities claimed the life of a Minnesota woman Tuesday afternoon.
The State Patrol responded to the crash at the intersection of Hwy. 55 and Industrial Park Blvd. in Plymouth. The crash was reported shortly before 2:30 p.m.
The state crash report indicates a car and pick-up were traveling east on Hwy. 55 when they collided with an SUV that was traveling north through the intersection.The SUV driver, identified 68-year-old Catherine Regina Caron of Plymouth, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The car driver, 49-year-old David Andrew Boll was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries. MnDOT traffic camera footage from the intersection shows the video Boll was driving had caught on fire.
The pick-up driver, 73-year-old Roland Erwin Yager of Corcoran, MN was not hurt. Everyone involved in the deadly crash was buckled up.
Yager and Caron were not under the influence of alcohol and it’s unknown if alcohol was involved with Boll, the state report says.
