
Woman Killed in Crash on Southern Minnesota Highway
Credit River, MN (KROC-AM News) - One person was killed in a traffic crash last night in a small southern Minnesota community.
The Scott County Sheriff's Office says deputies and emergency responders were sent to investigate a 911 report of a two-vehicle crash in Credit River just after 8 PM. A news release indicates an SUV crossed over the median on Scott County Road 21 and collided head-on with an eastbound car.
The Sheriff's Office says the driver of the car, a 54-year-old woman from Prior Lake, was transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center where she died from her injuries. The 64-year-old Prior Lake man driving the SUV was also taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center with what were described as serious injuries.
The news release on the deadly incident says, at this time, it is not believed that alcohol or drug impairment was a factor.
The names of the victims have not been released.
