St. Cloud Restaurant Wins Best Bar-B-Q in Minnesota
A St. Cloud restaurant just received another round of big honors. “Up In Smoke Bar-B-Q" was recognized by the Star Tribune Newspaper for three of their “Best of Minnesota” awards voted on by residents and readers.
“Up In Smoke” was named the best barbecue of Minnesota, as well they were voted as the best restaurant in St. Cloud, and the locally owned restaurant finished third in the best wings in the state.

What's The Method Behind The Magic?
The Bar-B-Q and brisket are smoked for eighteen hours before they’re ready to be served to customers. And the wings are not the “drummies or flatties” as Tim called them, but it’s the whole wing, which can be two to three times the size of wings at other restaurants.
This is definitely exciting news for the restaurant, but it’s not the first time Tim and the staff at “Up In Smoke BBQ” have won awards.
They won the best catering award for Central Minnesota last year. One of the reasons their catering has been such a success, Tim says, is because they can handle orders or big events or small ones and they have flexibility in their catering menu.
Up In Smoke Shows Gratitude To Their Customers
“We want to thank everyone for supporting us,” Tim said on Sunday during a customer appreciation event at the restaurant. “Without the support of our customers, we wouldn’t be in this position,” he added.
“Up In Smoke” opened their doors two years ago and has become a favorite of residents in Central Minnesota, not just for their Bar-B-Q and wings, but their catering as well.
Congratulations to the small restaurant with the big flavor in St. Cloud.
