Two Arrested for Central Minnesota Drive-By Shooting
Willmar, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in central Minnesota say two people are in custody in connection to a drive-by shooting.
A news release issued by the Willmar Police Department says officers responded to a weapons complaint of shots fired shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday.
The call came from the western outskirts of Willmar, which is home to less than 22,000 people.
Police say no injuries were reported. The shooting is believed to have caused property damage.
Officials say the subsequent investigation led to the arrests of 46-year-old Rodolfo Turrubiates and 45-year-old Alberto Turrubiates. The men were brought into custody without incident on suspicion of Dangerous Weapons – Drive-by-Shooting.
The Kandiyohi County Jail roster indicates Rodolfo was booked into custody shortly before 3:30 Sunday afternoon and Alberto was booked shortly before 4:45 p.m.
Authorities say the shooting was an isolated incident that does not pose a threat to the public.
