
Two Minnesota Grocery Stores Offering Full Thanksgiving Meals for $40 or Less
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if your grocery receipt lately has you questioning if you should just serve frozen pizza for Thanksgiving, you’re not alone.
According to the American Farm Bureau, the average cost for a traditional Thanksgiving meal for ten people last year was around $58, nearly 20% higher than just a few years ago. And if you’ve walked through the aisles lately, you’ve probably noticed it too: even canned cranberry sauce feels fancy now.

Thankfully (pun intended), a couple of grocery chains with locations all across Minnesota are stepping up to make sure you can still celebrate without going broke.
Two Grocery Stores with Full Thanksgiving Meals for Under $50
Aldi's Thanksgiving Feast For 10
Aldi is doing its best to help keep Thanksgiving affordable with their feast for 10 people for just $40. The deal runs from October 15 through December 24 and includes everything you need to cook a full Thanksgiving meal. The 21 ingredients include: A 14-pound turkey, rolls, cranberry sauce, mac and cheese, stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, and pumpkin pie.
If you don't need to feed quite that many people, Hy-Vee has a deal that feeds six people for $10 less.

Hy-Vee's $30 Thanksgiving Meal Deal
Hy-Vee just rolled out a $30 Thanksgiving Meal Deal, and it’s exactly what it sounds like, a full-on Thanksgiving dinner that won’t wreck your wallet. Each meal includes all the essentials: a 10-13 pound frozen turkey or turkey breast, rolls, cranberry sauce, cream of mushroom soup, turkey gravy, turkey stuffing, and russet potatoes. and even dessert.
The deal runs from November 3 through November 26, both in stores and online, and for anyone with dietary restrictions, Hy-Vee’s also offering a gluten-free version for $50.
Pre-Made Thanksgiving Meals at Hy-Vee
Hy-Vee’s also stepping up its convenience game this year. For the first time, you can get its Prepared Holiday Meal Packs delivered right to your door. These come in different sizes (serving 2 to 12 people) and let you pick your protein and sides. Perfect if you’d rather skip the kitchen chaos but still want the smell of turkey in the house.
Hy-Vee is also bringing back its “Buy a ham, get a turkey free” deal all month long in November. And just a heads-up: all Hy-Vee stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but if you pre-order, you can still pick up your meal between 8 and 11 a.m. on the holiday itself.
