Brooklyn Center, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in the Twin Cities are looking for the person suspected of carrying out a deadly shooting Sunday afternoon.

A news release from the Brooklyn Center Police Department says officers were dispatched to the report of a shooting in a residential area just north of Minneapolis. The shooting was reported around 4 p.m. 


Responding officers learned the shooting victim was transported to a hospital by private vehicle where he died from his injuries. The name of the man fatally shot has not been released.

Investigators spent the afternoon and evening interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence at the scene. So far no arrests have been made. 

Investigators say the shooting is not believed to be a random event.
