MINNEAPOLIS, MN (MinnesotaNow)Minneapolis Police are investigating an early morning shooting that left three individuals with gunshot wounds near the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus.

According to a U of M safety notification, the incident occurred Friday morning around 2:15 a.m. near the intersection of 4th Street SE and 13th Avenue SE, just blocks from the bustling Dinkytown area and student housing complexes.

While details remain scarce, authorities confirmed that the shooting happened off campus. As of now, it's unclear whether any members of the University community were involved.

No suspect information has been released, and police are urging residents and students to avoid the area while they continue processing the scene.
