It's time to start checking off things on our fall bucket list! Fall is unfortunately short in Minnesota so we have to try and squeeze all of the fun into a month or two. And one of the places that is great to check out is opening next weekend.

Apple Orchards and Corn Mazes Near Rochester

The largest fall festival in Minnesota is relatively close to the southeast corner. But if you want to stick in the area, we've got lots of options for apple picking and corn mazes!

For example, you can visit Sekapp Orchard, ApplesRus Orchard and Distillery, Wescott Orchard, or Northwoods Orchard for your apple-picking needs. And for corn mazes, you've got Sekapp's, Northwoods, and Tiegen's Pumpkin Patch nearby.

Minnesota's Largest Fall Festival

As for the largest fall festival in Minnesota, that would be Sever's in Shakopee! Many people call it Sever's Corn Maze, since the corn maze is really popular, but there are also plenty of other activities to check out during your visit.

There are wildlife shows, jumping pillows, the giant corn pit, pig races, a petting zoo, great photo ops, and that's just a handful of what's available.

Sever's opens for the season on Saturday, September 16th and they'll be open every Saturday and Sunday through October 29th from 10 AM - 7 PM. They'll also be open at those same times during the Thursday and Friday of MEA break, so October 19th and 20th.

Tickets vary in price depending on when you go and if you buy them in advance. Pre-sale tickets (which need to be purchased by September 10th) are $16 per person. If you go in September, tickets bought online are $19 and tickets bought at the door are $23. If you want to go in October, then tickets bought online cost $22 and at the door, it's $26.
