Rochester Podcast Reaches Major Milestone
Good Money Moves, a locally produced 30-minute radio program and podcast, has reached its 200th episode. Jenna Taubel with First Alliance Credit Union and Andy Brownell with News-Talk 1340 KROC-AM and 96.9 FM have been meeting weekly since the summer of 2019 to talk about common financial issues and goals.
Jenna spearheaded the podcast and radio program as a way to promote financial literacy. The topics have ranged from the differences between a credit union in a bank, to how credit scores work and impact your daily lives, and to ways to save money while holiday shopping or buying a vehicle.
Good Money Moves has even tackled some complex financial issues while they were making headlines with guest appearances by other members of the First Alliance Credit Union team and outside experts. Those topics included how cryptocurrency works, what caused the failure of the Silicon Valley Bank, cyber security, and the latest scams with tips on how to avoid becoming a victim.
The main focus of Good Money Moves is and has been to provide listeners with the knowledge and tools they need to better manage their money. That includes the basics of budgeting, home mortgages, auto loans, preparing to file your taxes, planning for vacations, and even teaching children some Good Money Moves that they and their parents can tackle at a young age.
Good Money Moves is broadcast each Sunday morning at 9:30 and on Wednesdays between 11 AM and noon during Rochester Today on News-Talk 1340 KROC-AM and 96.9 FM.
