Old Farmer’s Almanac Shares December Outlook For Minnesota
Winter could strike at any moment now - and it probably will! We were spoiled in the Northland to have an extended summer of sorts.
In fact, parts of Minnesota saw record-breaking high temperatures even into early October. We didn't start to see fall until somewhat recently so we've been spoiled for sure.

This is the time of the year when winter could strike at any point - and it could this very month! Last month, the Old Farmer's Almanac predicted the first snowstorm of the season for our region.
When they released their two-month outlook, they shared that we could see our first snowstorm of the season between the 24th and 26th. But what does December hold - is a white Christmas in store?

Sigh. So what's in store for December? According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, the month of December will be very cold. Frigid conditions will take over for the first few days of the month, followed by chilly conditions and 'bitter cold' leading into the end of the month. This does not sound fun.

You may not think this is saying much because it's always cold in December. However, we will see an average temperature of about 15 degrees, which is four degrees below average. Yikes!
In terms of snow, it doesn't look like we will see any major snowstorms, if you believe in this outlook that is. We will see flurries and scattered snow showers but it doesn't mention any winter storms so that's a win in my book.
