Minnesota is a relatively large state.  Not in comparison to Texas or Montana, but it's fairly large.  You can have totally different lifestyles from the Northern part of the state to the Southern part of the state.

One of our favorite day drive destinations in Minnesota is Stillwater.  That town is so fun, and reminds me a bit of fictional towns that you might see on the Hallmark Channel or something along those lines.

We have some friends who live there, and have been down to visit several times.  One of our favorite places was Forge and Foundry.  This is a distillery with craft cocktails which were very good!  Every time we were there, the distillery was fairly busy.  Not like you can move and wait a half an hour for drinks, but steady business.  Although I have no idea what it was like on a regular basis, but the times we were there, there were quite a few people enjoying their craft drinks.

Just yesterday, they posted on their Facebook page that they would be closing later this month.

I don't like to see any small businesses closing, but we really enjoyed this place and it's a bummer to see this happen.

So, if you happen to be in the Stillwater area before they close permantely, stop in and have a cocktail.  You will probably be just as bummed as I am to see this cool place go away.
