After the closure of the Blue Rock Grill earlier this year, the space, located at 1702 Miller Trunk Highway in Duluth, has been empty. There are rumblings that a new sushi and ramen restaurant will be taking over the location and the signage tends to agree.

Signage for Ichiro Sushi and Ramen has already appeared on the storefront, and it has the community buzzing. We are unsure of details such as an opening date (whispers of September) or possible menu items other than the obvious. This location already has a drive-through already built in! Wait. Drive through sushi and ramen? Yes, please!

Constructed in 2019, the 2-story "53 Business Center" is a hub for businesses in the Duluth and bordering Hermantown areas. Current tenants include Plato's Closet- a fun and trendy consignment store, and Lifeview Glaucoma Center- an office dedicated to medical and surgical ophthalmology. Ichiro Sushi and Ramen will be a welcome addition to the area and will expand dining options for locals and visitors alike.

After the closure of Osaka in the Burning Tree Plaza in August 2021, Asian cuisine has been absent from the area. Ichiro Sushi and Ramen will be a welcomed addition; welcomed with open and hungry arms.

Other restaurant options in the area include Do North Pizzeria and Pub, The Social House (with a newly opened second location in Canal Park), Valentini's (Italian and American cuisine), Maya Authentic Mexican Restaurant, China Star Family Restaurant, Kosta's Gyros, Chalet Lounge, Famous Dave's BBQ, and McKenzie's Bar and Grill to name a few.

Updates on an opening date, menu items, and other pertinent information will be posted as it become available.
