
Motorcyclist Killed in Collision With Pickup in Central Minnesota
Elk River, MN (MinnesotaNow) - The Minnesota State Patrol responded this morning to a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup in Sherburne County.
The preliminary crash report indicates the collision occurred around 6:45 a.m. on Highway 169. The State Patrol says the motorcyclist was traveling south on Highway 169 when he collided with a pickup whose driver was attempting to cross the four-lane divided highway at an intersection just north of Elk River.
The State Patrol identified the deceased motorcyclist as 25-year-old Jacob Christopher Hoel of Blaine.
The pickup driver, identified as 22-year-old David Marsh of Farmington, was not injured.

The State Patrol report indicates he was wearing a seatbelt and that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
