(UPDATE) - Sequoia has been located and is safe.

Eagan, MN (KROC-AM News) - An Endangered Missing Person Alert has been issued for a Minnesota teenager.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension posted the statewide alert this afternoon at the request of the Eagan Police Department. The subject of the alert is 13-year-old Sequoia Kieya.

According to the Eagan Police Department, Sequoia left her family in Eagan sometime overnight. The alert indicates that she may be in the Brooklyn Center area and that her family is concerned for her safety. They believe she may be in the company of an older man.

Sequoia is described as black, about 5' 1", 113 pounds, with brown and red hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a dark pink bonnet, pink zip-up sweatshirt with a blue shirt underneath, and green camo pants, carrying a black purse.
