Minnesota Man Arrested For Death of 7 Year Old Brother

Eden Prairie, MN (KROC-AM News) - Police in Eden Prairie are reporting the arrest of a 28-year-old man in connection with the death of his seven-year-old brother.

A news release says Eden Prairie officers were dispatched to a residence around 10 PM Tuesday to conduct a welfare check concerning an adult male who appeared to be in crisis. After their arrival, the officers found an unresponsive child. The young boy was transported to Fairview Southdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

His brother, Dalal Bayle Idd, was transported to the Hennepin County jail following a medical evaluation and is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder. An autopsy is being conducted by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the exact cause of death.

The seven-year-old's name and other information concerning the investigation are not been released at this time.
