Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Acting US Attorney for Minnesota today announced three indictments involving felony charges for illegal reentry into the country.

A news release says all three men were previously convicted of felony charges, including child molestation and criminal sexual conduct. One of the cases involves a 33-year-old man convicted of criminal sexual conduct in Faribault County. Federal prosecutors say José Alfredo Ojeda-Garcia was removed from the US in April 2012, May 2021 and January 2022.

Another indictment charges 35-year-old Luis Gerardo Gomez-Estebon of illegally reentering the United States after he was deported in May 2019. The news release says that followed his conviction on several child molestation charges in Washington state.

A third indictment names 37-year-old Sotero Ortiz-Sanchez. Federal prosecutors say he illegally reentered the country after he was convicted of a burglary charge in Nebraska and was removed from the US.

The news release does not indicate where the three men were taken into custody by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.
