Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - A gang member from northern Minnesota has entered into a plea agreement involving a deadly shooting spree in Minneapolis last September.

According to court documents, 37-year-old Joshua Anthony Jones of Bemidji, who is described as a member of the Native Mob gang, was charged with shooting and killing two people in separate incidents near homeless encampments. One of the criminal complaints against Jones says the first victim was shot "execution style" in an alley. A second man was shot and seriously wounded at the same location, while a third man was targeted by the gunman but was not hit. The shootings were reported around 4:40 AM on September 18, 2024.

A second criminal complaint filed in Hennepin County Court says Minneapolis police responded about 12 hours later to another shooting and found a man shot in the head in a different alley. The court document says a recording from a surveillance camera clearly shows a man later identified as Jones confronting the victim, pointing a gun at his head, and then shooting the victim even after he put his hands in the air and "cowered down on the ground."
