
Minivan vs SUV Crash in SW Minnesota Injures 5 Children, 2 Adults
Marshall, MN (KROC-AM News) - Five children were among the seven people transported to a hospital following a two vehicle crash in southwestern Minnesota this afternoon.
The State Patrol says the injured children were in a minivan that collided with an SUV on Highway 23 in Lyon County near Marshall. The crash was reported around 12:30 PM.
The preliminary crash report on the incident identified the driver of the minivan as 42-year-old Kristi Wieme of Balaton. Her passengers, all boys, ranged in age from 5 to 14 years old.

They, along with the driver of the SUV, were all taken to Marshall Regional Medical Center with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV was identified as a 19-year-old Shelby Korman of Lynd, Minnesota.
