Here’s How Much a 4-Course Meal Costs at Manny’s, the Best Steakhouse in Minnesota
I love a good steak. If I were stranded on a desert island and could bring one meal with me, it would be a perfectly cooked medium-rare filet mignon with a side of loaded mashed potatoes and a glass of top-shelf bourbon (might need the whole bottle if we're going to be on that island for a while).
When I saw Tasting Table named Manny’s Steakhouse in downtown Minneapolis, not only the best steakhouse in Minnesota, but one of the best in the world, my first thought was: how much does that kind of steak experience actually cost?
According to Tasting Table,
“Manny's hasn’t just been included on lists of best steakhouses in the state, it's also gotten the nod for being among the best in the world. It makes sense: Manny's works with beef suppliers and oversees its own herds, built around a bull specially selected for the Manny's Heritage Beef breeding program. Add in outstanding cocktails and a staff that's willing to help you choose the perfect cut of aged steak, and it's a next-level experience.”
A next-level experience sounds great… until you realize next-level usually also means next-level prices. So I grabbed the dinner menu and built out what a typical four-course night out at Manny’s might cost you. Let’s dig in.

How Much Does It Cost to Eat at Manny's Steakhouse in Minneapolis?
Course 1: The Appetizer
If you’re going to do it, do it right. Manny’s starters are indulgent. Today we're going with the Maine Lobster Cakes for $35.95 (picture below). The Oysters Rockefeller ($35.95) looks like another solid choice. They're the kind of dishes that make you feel fancy before the steak even hits the table.
Average app price: $35
Course 2: The Salad
You can’t skip the salad course at a steakhouse like this. The Wedge Salad for $17.95 is the move here. Crisp iceberg lettuce, thick bacon, and enough blue cheese to make your taste buds stand at attention. Other solid options would be the Caesar ($19.95) or Chopped Salad ($18.95).
Average price: $18 each
Course 3: The Main Event
This is where Manny’s earns its reputation. The restaurant raises its own cattle through the “Manny’s Heritage Beef” program, meaning the steaks here are literally bred for perfection.
A Bone-In Ribeye runs $93.95, and adding Truffle Butter (+$9.95) feels like a moral obligation at this point. Filet Mignon is $83.95 and the New York Strip is $97.95; both are equally impressive if you prefer something a bit leaner.
Average price: $100 per steak
Sides are served family-style at Manny’s, but even if you’re splitting, they’re a must. Loaded Mashed Potatoes with giant pieces of bacon ($22.95) is the comfort-food classic.
Average shareable side price: $20
️ Course 4: Dessert (or a Drink to Finish)
You’ll probably want to end the night with a dessert (adult cookies and cream pictured below) or an after-dinner cocktail, so figure another $24 for dessert and $21 for each signature cocktail you order.
Average price: $66 (one dessert, two cocktails)
The Final Bill
All said and done, here’s what dinner for two at Manny’s would look like if you both go all-in with appetizers, salads, steaks, sides, dessert, and a couple of cocktails:
- Appetizer to share (Lobster Cakes): $35.95
- Salads (2 Wedge Salads): $35.90
- Entrées (1 Bone-In Ribeye, 1 filet mignon + Truffle Butter): $197.80
- Side (Loaded Mashed Potatoes to share): $22.95
- Cocktails (2 @ $21): $42.00
- Dessert to share: $24.00
Subtotal: $358.60
With tax and 20% tip: about $465 total for two
Dinner at a place like Manny’s Steakhouse isn’t just a meal, it’s an event. Between the heritage beef, the old-school service, and the atmosphere that feels straight out of a movie, it’s easy to see why people call it one of the best in the world.
Would I splurge that much on a fancy steak dinner? Definitely not every weekend, but for a birthday, anniversary, or another big celebratory kind of night? Possibly. If dropping that kind of dough on a night out isn’t in the cards for you, but you still want a solid steakhouse experience, a 4-course meal at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is also quite good and a little bit cheaper than Manny’s.
