Manhunt Underway in Arizona for Minnesota Fugitive
Gilbert, AZ (KROC-AM News) - A man wanted on a fugitive warrant issued by the Minnesota Department of Corrections is the subject of a manhunt in Arizona.
The Police Department in Gilbert Arizona is spreading information on social media concerning its efforts to locate and apprehend 33-year-old Paris DeShawn Drake. A news release indicates he managed to escape after Gilbert Police Officers responded to a residence after receiving the call that Drake had threatened an individual inside the home with a firearm.
Based on information provided by witnesses, the officers believed Drake was still inside the home and attempted to make contact with him. After numerous attempts failed, a tactical team executed a search warrant of the residence about six hours after the standoff began and discovered Drake was no longer inside.
Authorities in Arizona have requested the public's help in finding Drake, who is considered armed and dangerous. The city of Gilbert is a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona.
Court records in Minnesota show he has several felony theft convictions and was ordered to serve a 28-month prison sentence last year for probation violations connected to a left conviction in Carver County three years ago.
