Man Sentenced to Jail For Sexual Contact With Rochester Girl
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Twin Cities man has been sentenced to 60 days in jail and five years on probation for a criminal sexual conduct conviction involving a 13-year-old Rochester girl.
25-year-old Daniel Hodde earlier entered into a plea agreement and admitted to a fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct charge. In exchange, a second-degree criminal sexual conduct charge was dismissed.
The Inver Grove Heights man was accused of meeting up with the juvenile victim at a gathering in Rochester in August 2021 after exchanging messages with her on Snapchat. The court document alleged the girl had told Hodde that she was only 12 years old during at least one of the online conversations.
The criminal complaint also alleged that Hodde and the victim had been drinking alcohol at the gathering and that he gave her and another juvenile girl a ride to the victim's home in his car. It was alleged that he began sexually touching the 13-year-old after the other girl went into the house.
