Bathe in the Warmth of a Sauna Village Right Here in Minnesota
How cool does a sauna village sound? That sounds like a place I want to be in the winter! Luckily for us, it's a place in Minnesota, but it'll only be around for a limited time. Here's what's going on.

The Great Northern Festival
There's a festival that I had never heard of before but it sounds really cool called The Great Northern Festival. I'm not sure when it started but I know this isn't their first year. It's put on in Minneapolis and St. Paul with a bunch of different events and activities.
The point of the festival is to celebrate our Minnesota winters but the goal is to also "[highlight] an existential threat to winter: climate change." So there will be plenty of fun things to do and also educational events to discuss climate change.
Some of the events include live music from local artists at venues across the Twin Cities, forest bathing, a winter run, and a walking event that will take you to "sites with deep significance to Dakota people."
On top of that is the sauna village!
The Sauna Village in Minnesota
The sauna village is open Thursdays through Sundays throughout the festival. You can book 60 or 90-minute sessions for $50-60 and it's located at The Market at Malcolm Yards in Minneapolis.
It's called a sauna village because it's literally a bunch of saunas that look like mini houses with tons of windows all set up like a little village.
Plus, throughout the festival, there are different events that happen at the sauna village. For example, that winter run I mentioned earlier ends with a session in the saunas. There's also a movie night at the saunas and some relaxing sound bowl sauna sessions. All of those require different tickets than the regular sessions, though.
The Great Northern Festival will happen from January 23rd through February 2nd.
