Raise Money for Animals in Need at Paws and Claws’ Fall Fundraiser Event
Hundreds of dogs and cats are in need of our help in southeast Minnesota each year. And thanks to organizations like Paws and Claws Humane Society in Rochester, Minnesota, those animals are able to get the help they need.
Paws and Claws can't do it alone though! They need our help, too. And one way to do that is by participating in their fun, annual Fall Fundraiser event.
About Paws and Claws in Rochester, MN
Paws and Claws began back in 1974. Since then, they've grown to be a huge force in helping homeless animals in southeast Minnesota.
This past fiscal year, 1,606 dogs and cats were adopted from Paws and Claws. That's amazing! But I know they're still full to the brim with animals all looking for their forever homes.
All of these animals cost money. Whether it's money for their daily care or money for serious medical intervention.
One of the most common things that the animals need is to be spayed and neutered. That alone costs Paws and Claws about $250,000 per year.
The money needed to help these animals comes from all of us animal lovers! Paws and Claws takes monetary donations any time, but they have a special event coming up where they'll be raising money too. A fun evening plus raising money for animals all in one night!
Paws and Claws 2024 Fall Fundraiser
The 2024 Paws and Claws Fall Fundraiser is coming up on Friday, November 1st. It will be at the Rochester International Event Center starting at 5:30 PM. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door per person.
Here's what you can expect from the evening. When doors open there will be a silent auction that you can bid on throughout the evening.
There will also be heavy appetizers provided with the cost of your ticket, plus a cash bar.
Speaking of the cash bar, there will be two specialty drinks and a little contest. One of the drinks will be called Squirt's Snarky Sangria, named after Paws and Claws office cat, Squirt.
The other drink is called Hopper's Three Paw Pie Punch, named after the incredible dog named Hopper that Paws and Claws rescued recently. He was found shot with multiple pellets stuck in his body and badly injured. He had to have one of his back legs amputated but now he's doing great and is at his forever home!
Whichever one of those drinks has the most purchased by the end of the night is crowned the winner!
But that's not all! There's also going to be door prizes plus raffles for lots of wine...
... and beer!
There will also be a live auction hosted by... me! Usually, Curt St. John from Quick Country 96.5 hosts the auction but since he's unable to this year I'm stepping in and I'm super excited!
Get your tickets now, and we'll see you Friday, November 1st!
