New Restaurant Opening in Busy Rochester, MN Corridor Near Costco
There are several great spots to grab a bite to eat near Costco in Northwest Rochester. You'll find fast food places like McDonald's and Jersey Mike's, as well as sit-down restaurants like The Tap House, Five West, and Smoak.
Keep driving on West Circle Drive, and you'll see even more options like Roosters and Mr. Pizza North, and soon you'll have another choice in that area. A building that has housed several restaurants over the last 15 years has new owners and is set to reopen soon.

I was driving home from Costco the other day when a sign caught my eye, so I pulled in to check it out.
When I first moved to Rochester, this spot was a Green Mill restaurant. Green Mill shut down in 2015. Crooked Pint took over until the pandemic hit. Carbone's Pizza tried the location next, but closed after two years.
The building is now painted green. It's located at 2723 Commerce Drive NW and was purchased for $2.2 million back in the spring by a restaurateur from North Dakota, according to the Post Bulletin.

Details are limited at this point. The new restaurant, Ollin Cocina & Tequila, has a Facebook page, but so far, they've only shared their logo along with a message announcing an opening this fall.
We do know Ollin Cocina & Tequila will serve traditional Mexican food and high-quality tequilas.
"We are a Mexican restaurant in Rochester, MN, that combines traditional Mexican cuisine and the love of good tequila, inspired by the flavors and nostalgia of Mexico. In Nahuatl, "ollin" means "movement," "course," or "evolution."
I’m excited to try this new place! Seeing the renovation brought back some great memories of Green Mill. Take a look below at more Rochester restaurants from the past that you might remember and miss
