Low temperatures are expected to drop below freezing for most of Minnesota on Monday night, so it’s important to take steps to protect your home. The cold weather can cause significant damage, so be sure to cover any exposed outdoor pipes, drain your faucets, and remove hoses. Don’t forget to drain any water hoses and irrigation lines as well.

The National Weather Service in Duluth says the cold air will also bring the season's first snowflakes.
