Minnesota’s Natural Waterpark is the Most Unique Adventure
There's still a bit of summer left in Minnesota. If you've got a bit of free time before sending the kids back to school, I highly suggest you take a look at a trip to Minnesota's natural waterpark.
We've got quite a few cool waterparks throughout the state, like Cascade Bay in Eagan or Great Wolf Lodge in Bloomington. But checking out a waterpark that was created by Mother Nature is a totally unique experience!

Big Falls, Minnesota
This natural waterpark can be found in Big Falls, MN. The town has a population of just 173 and it's up north, just a 40-minute drive south of International Falls. Yeah, way up there. But if you enjoy getting out in Minnesota's beautiful nature, it looks like a great place to be.
You can stay at the city's campground if you'd like, explore their hiking trails, and make a stop at the natural waterpark that has been created there over the years.
Minnesota's Natureal Waterpark - Big Fork River
Sure, you can go tubing down rivers all around Minnesota, and depending on how high the water is it could be a crazy ride. But at Big Fork River it's different.
You've got 'slides' you can go down that are little waterfalls created by Mother Nature. There are also pools to hang out in, like at any other water park.
On the city's website, they write that the water "goes from rushing and very deep in the spring to slow and lazy in the late summer." So this time of year it should be a pretty chill time to visit.
You can see even from Google Maps that the water is really flowing, providing some great natural slides and cascades. You can access it from the Big Falls Campground.
The city also writes that you need to try a 'river massage'. They don't explain what that is but I would guess that it means there's an area where you can sort of get a massage by the rocks and water flowing. It sounds nice!
