Does anyone else feel like they need an escape from Minnesota after this springtime snow and cold? Yeah, I was ready for spring and warm weather to stay but Mother Nature said no.

If you'd like a way to get away from this weather for a bit, I've got you. And it doesn't even require you to leave the state! Saving you money, time, and your sanity.

You know where it's always warm and you can comfortably wear a swimsuit any time of year? An indoor waterpark or pool! And we have quite a few options for that in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. There's also one that's adults-only plus there's a swim-up bar. It'll really make you feel like you're on an island somewhere.

Indoor Waterparks and Pools in Minnesota

There are plenty of indoor waterparks and pools across the state so you can take your pick. The one I tend to think of right away is Great Wolf Lodge. It's right by the Mall of America in Bloomington, plus it's a hotel so you can spend a weekend there having fun at the waterpark and shopping at the mall.

It's massive at 75,000 square feet according to Explore Minnesota. Inside, you've got water slides, a surfing simulator, a lazy river, and "an interactive four-story water fort treehouse and an interactive water slide".

Then you've got Venetian Waterpark in Maple Grove. It's part of the Holiday Inn and Suites in Maple Grove, so another great spot to spend the weekend. As the name suggests, it's themed as a mini Italian city. Inside, some of the activities include two four-story water slides, a wading pool with splash zones, and an activity area.

And the last one I'll mention before we move on to the adults-only option is Wild Woods Waterpark in Elk River. It's part of the Wyndham Garden Minneapolis Northwest hotel in Elk River. This one is also pretty big at 30,000 square feet. It features things like four-story water slides, tube slides, and a lazy river.

Adults-Only Indoor Pool with Swim-Up Bar in Minnesota

Now let's get to the adults-only fun. If you're able to leave the kids at home or with a babysitter, head over to Treasure Island. That's right, TI is the one with this adults-only pool. It's part of The Lagoon Waterpark, which is family-friendly (except for one particular area), so you definitely can bring the kids with if you'd like.

In the adult's area, you've got a pool, hot tubs, and the swim-up bar called the Barefoot Bar.

I mean, how cool is that! I feel like you only hear about swim-up bars in tropical locations so to have one in Minnesota is pretty fun. It'll really feel like a tropical vacation, even if it's just for a little bit. Of course, Treasure Island has hotel rooms so you can make a weekend out of this one as well.

One of the most popular shows on Food Network is easily 'Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives'. Guy Fieri has come to Minnesota for many episodes. Here are the ones that feature Minnesota restaurants.
