JUST IN: Adorable Store in Kasson, Minnesota Closing December 23rd

These last few weeks of 2023 are some of the final moments for several businesses in Southeast Minnesota.  Arrow Hardware & Paint just announced their "Going Out Of Business" sale for two locations in Rochester.  Sweet House Bakery is closing up its location near St. Mary's.  And a floral shop on North Broadway recently announced that its storefront is closing as well.  Today, another favorite in Southeast Minnesota is saying farewell.

Smiling Moose in Kasson, Minnesota Just Announced It Is Closing

An adorable shop in a town about 25 minutes from Rochester has announced that it is closing.  Kim and Steve White opened up the Smiling Moose in May 2021 at the old HyVee Pharmacy building at 408 West Main Street in Kasson, Minnesota.

According to a recent Facebook post, their building has been sold and they are selling off their inventory.

Our building has been sold, and we must vacate by 12/29. Our last day of business will be 12/23. Our inventory is on sale at 50% off, and we are selling displays, fixtures, and coffee supplies, including air pots, and paper and plastic drinkware. Although it was a surprise that the building was sold so soon, we are grateful that we are one step closer to retirement. Please stop by and enjoy the great sales for the holiday season while supplies last! We are open 10-5 M-F, and 10-2 on Saturdays until 12/23.
Thank you for your business, it has been a fun ride! We powered through the pandemic, supply chain shortages, construction obstacles, and staffing issues. We made many friends, built loyal customers, and were proud to have some extraordinary employees. We very much appreciate your support of our small business! We are not sure what the new owner will do with the building, but wish them the very best!
