Check Out This Amazing Pink Beach in Minnesota That Sings!
Summer in Minnesota! This is the time to go and explore all of the gorgeous places, check off a few items on your bucket list, and even go find a few secret locations that people are posting about on TikTok!
Ok, you don't have to be on TikTok to do this, but there is one hidden beach that I found out about in Minnesota because of that platform and it is one that I'm hoping to see in a few weeks. If you are looking for a place to explore, this spot is supposedly magical because it sings to you.
ICYMI, Minnesota has a pink beach that sings to you!
In a few weeks, I'm going to be heading to the North Shore. I've never really explored this area and honestly, I won't have much time to do that, but there is one spot that I am hoping to see. It is pink, it sings, and it is by the water.
I first found out about this pink beach thanks to TikTok! I was scrolling through one day and came across a video posted by @planetwithsara that was just gorgeous and gave me a glimpse of the pink beach right here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
Here's Where Minnesota's Pink Beach Is On A Map
Looking at a map, I'm realizing now that the Pink Beach is a tad farther from Duluth than I initially thought. That just means...more snacks are needed!
If you are up for the adventure, here's where you can find the Pink Beach in Minnesota:
- just a bit north of Duluth and Two Harbors is a gorgeous spot called Iona Beach. (Get Directions) That is your goal. If you get to "Black Beach", another popular spot in our state, you went too far.
One Thing You Can NOT Do If You Visit The Pink Beach in Minnesota
I've only had a chance to see the views of the Pink Beach on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube so far, but in my research for my upcoming trip, I learned a very important piece of information.
I stumbled across a website by Atlas Obscura and enjoyed the amazing photos of the pink beach that are displayed here. If you want to know what it looks like, check it out. But there was also a note included with some very vital information about this precious space in our state:
"this beach is a Scientific & Natural Area, which means it is not allowed to collect rocks, plants, animals, rocks, and fossils."
In other words, you might be tempted to take a pink rock with you, but please fight that and leave the rocks where they lay.

Some days Superior's waves play the beach, rhythmically lifting and then dropping the flattened stones so that they fall together with a high-pitched, ringing chime that listeners have likened to singing.
