I have some majorly bad news to share and I feel like I am to blame for all of it.  A few weeks ago, when it was gorgeous in Minnesota and we were all showing off our very pale arms again, I decided it was time to pull out all of my patio furniture and get it ready for summer.  I had this gut feeling that I should have left everything alone.  If you haven't heard the horrible news, snow is showing up this weekend in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. I'm sorry.  I pulled out my patio furniture and I think Mother Nature saw me.

When is the First Day of Spring in 2024?

While I try to find my flannel leggings and gloves again, a little bit of good news is sitting in front of us that really should be our focus.  Spring has sprung!  Yes, the first day of spring should be our focus and in 2024, that day is March 19th!

Why Does The First Day of Spring Change Each Year?

As I saw "First Day of Spring" pop up on my Google calendar today, I wondered if March 19th is always when this fresh slip of seasons shows up for us in the Northern Hemisphere.  According to CBSNews.com, the first day of spring typically happens on March 19th, 20th, or 21st.  The change in date moves around because the calendar year is 365 days but it takes Earth 365.24 days to travel around the sun.  Because of that difference, spring shows up on different days.
