Winona, MN (KROC-AM News)- A dump truck driver lost his life in a southeast Minnesota crash on Monday.

So far only preliminary information is available. He was the only person involved in the Winona County fatality.

The State Patrol responded to the scene shortly before 7 p.m. and found the large vehicle on its side in the ditch.

Fountain City, WI Man Killed After Rolling Dumptruck at Winona Intersection

The dump truck was traveling north on Gilmore Valley Rd. near the St. Mary's University of Minnesota campus when it crossed Hwy. 14, entered the ditch then rolled onto its side, the preliminary state crash report says.

A 68-year-old man from Fountain City, WI was driving the dump truck, the State Patrol says. His name and more information regarding his death has not yet been released.
