A section of County Road 11/Seventh Street NW in Faribault is closing for two days next week so contractors can remove several large cottonwood trees that sit along the roadway, not far from the King Mill Dam and Cannon River.

The road, from Park Avenue NW to its intersection with Roberds Lake Boulevard, will close to through traffic on Monday, October 28th and Tuesday, October 29th from 6 am through 7 pm.

Property owners living along that stretch of road will still have access to their homes during the closure.

The Rice County Highway Department has designated a detour during the closure. Westbound drivers should head south on Park Avenue NW, turning right on Highway 60 and right again on Western Avenue. Those wanting to head east should use the detour, but in reverse.
