Lane Closures on Highway 169 in Central Minnesota Start Monday
ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- A road construction project on a major north/south highway in central Minnesota will cause slowdowns and delays.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation says eight miles of Highway 169 between Milaca and Princeton will be resurfaced.
Starting Monday, drivers will encounter single-lane closures in both directions as crews prepare the work zone.
Also starting on Monday will be the construction of a new J-Turn intersection on Highway 169 at County Road 8 in Pease. The work will close the intersection and force drivers to detour until mid-September.
Southbound Highway 169 will close from mid-July to mid-August as crews complete underground work between Highway 23 in Milaca and County Road 13 in Long Siding. The closure will be Mondays through Saturdays only with all lanes open on Sundays.
The entire project is scheduled to be completed in mid-October.
